004: What we've been up to...

UNPLUGGED

Other than handling our business, we've been pretty much off the grid since the start of the year. National Day of Unplugging is a week from today so we thought we would update you on what we've been up to and how we are trying to become more present in our everyday lives.

Many people may not admit to this, but in all honesty, social media is a lot for us. Our brains were not meant to view so much data and so many images at once, resulting in major mental overstimulation! We often find ourselves in a never ending scroll session that has us stuck on stupid. Social media is great for a lot of things, but knowing when to "unplug" is important. If you haven't done so, try it. It's life changing :)

PUZZLES!

Ya'll know that we are pro "busy hands keep a quiet mind" and puzzles are great for that. Baby Nigel even got in on the action.

READING

Reading is a great way for us to pass time. Whether its before bed, on a plane or in the sauna at Get Well Soon. Here are just a few of our favorite reads!

So, between the pandemic, a baby, and well the fact that we just like to eat LOL, we've gained a few pounds *sigh* but all 10 + lbs were worth it haha! As the weather starts to change (for real and not just once a week) we will be peeking our heads out a little more. For now, we are enjoying the somewhat simple life (whatever that means in 2022). We hope all of you are taking this year 1 day at a time and are doing well mentally and physically!
